Etno HistEria: 2-8 august 2007
What?
Etno Histria is an international ethno-music camp, where about 45 musicians from the whole world meet to exchange their music experiences.
During this week, the participants teach each other their music, songs, dances and something about their culture.. but, of course, there will be time for jam-sessions in between breaks, nights etc. At the end of the week, "orchestra Etno HistEria" plays a couple of concerts at some nice places in the west of Slovenia.
From 2003 - 2006 experienced Etno Histria musicians from: England, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Macedonia, Slovenija, Serbia and Montenegro, Sweden, Slovakia, Norway, Cyprus, India, Chile, Uganda and Brasil.
Where?
A nice primary school in the mediterranean village Škofije, close to the Slovene coast, 5 min from the sea, 5 min from the border with Italy.

Workshops
We are planning ´normal´ ethno workshops (participants from other ethno weeks know), as well as ´special´ - singing, fiddles, klezmer, drums... depending on who will be there.
Other actions
Each day has different special programm. Inbetween playing we ll find also time for swimming, dance evenings, yoga, thetre workshops, seminars led by participants, puppet shows, jurneys arround colourfull Slovenija (from sea - to mountains, lakes, caves, little villages, all places are good for music)

3: - jamsession concert on streets of Koper (on street festival - together with theatre)
5: - uninformal concert-danceevening for village Skofije - together with some village chors and different guests
6: - Okarina festival in Bled (mountains)
7: - Ljubljana - festival sanje
8: - Izola (near sea)
Mentors
The role of the mentors there is not for teaching, but for making the ethno run in the most intense possible way. Mentors at Etno Histria will be, amongst others, Matija Solce (Slovenia), Dario Marusic (Istria), Stephan Steiner (Austria), Stina Rosen (Sweden)
Guests
Actors and scenographs from theatre academy. Theatre workshop, morning recreations. We ll try to make also simple visual part of concert
